Does CareTree have a public API?

CareTree, the care coordination platform for Aging Life Care professionals and the families they serve, publishes no developer API or documentation on its own site; the only programmatic route is a marketplace listing with a few automation actions. Integuru generates a production-ready HTTP API from your CareTree login, with 13 verified actions across the roster, case notes, medications, ADLs, care plans, custom tabs and documents.

Care managers bill by the tenth of an hour, and CareTree's case notes carry those hours plus expenses and mileage. Getting that data into an invoicing system, or getting a dictated note into CareTree without retyping it, is the integration most agencies ask for. Integuru makes direct HTTP requests to the endpoints the CareTree web app uses, authenticated, using your own credentials, with login and any second factor handled for you.

What you can do with the CareTree API

Back from a home visit, a care manager owes the agency a case note with the hours and the mileage on it, a medication change and a revised ADL picture, and the family expects to see all of it by evening. The actions cover that afternoon.

Roster and profile

• list_patients returns clients with search_text matched on first and last name and 1-based page; the platform sets page size, so check number_of_pages.
• get_patient_info reads one patient_id with care_team_status (default all), a casenotes_page (one page per call) and an optional document_folder_id that opens one folder level of the Documents area. list_patient_doctors returns the doctor contacts on the profile.
• update_profile_summary changes a partial sections object mirroring the profile UI; fields the General tab or Medical Information card cannot edit come back with status unsupported.

Case notes with billable time

• create_case_note takes patient_id, plain text and activity_date, with hours (for example 1.5), expenses, mileage, a 500-character invoice summary, an activity_type id, and flags internal_only (default true), is_medical, is_checked and as_draft (default false).

Medications, ADLs and the care plan

• add_medication records med_name with dosage_frequency, reason, start_date and a doctor contact id; delete_medication removes by medication_id or by a unique med_name, permanently.
• read_adls_iadls and update_adls_iadls read and change the activities of daily living; only the activities you list change.
• read_care_plan renders the plan for a view_type (show_all or a template id from available_views).

Custom tabs and documents

• read_custom_tab and update_custom_tab work on a tab_id from the tab URL; unlisted fields keep their values and save_to_pdf (default true) snapshots the tab after saving.
• upload_patient_document stores a file_base64 (up to 50MB; PDF, images and Word) under filename, optionally inside a document_folder_id.

Who uses this

Care management agencies sync hours, expenses and mileage from each case note into their invoicing system, replacing the manual export. AI note-taking tools built for care managers turn a dictated visit into create_case_note, add_medication and update_adls_iadls calls so the record is complete before the manager is home. Family-facing apps read read_care_plan and read_adls_iadls to show relatives the current picture. Setup notes

Integuru authenticates against caretree.me with your CareTree user. Every action is keyed on the numeric profile id from list_patients (or the profile URL); delete_medication accepts it as either patient_id or profile_id. Dates go in as YYYY-MM-DD and are converted to CareTree's MM/DD/YYYY internally. Case note text is plain text only. Paginated reads (get_patient_info case notes, list_patients) return one page per call.
