Front API
Integuru generates a production-ready HTTP API for Front, the shared inbox platform, covering the rule set data tables that Front's Core API leaves read-only. 2 verified actions fetch structured details for a set of rules by ID and append rows to a rule's data table, singly or in one batched call across many rules, for teams that drive routing from their own systems.

Don't see the action you need?
The actions above cover the most common Front integration patterns, but they're not the full picture. Integuru can build additional workflows for any capability the platform exposes. Our Managed Service handles scoping, building, and maintaining custom actions on your behalf, so just let us know what you need.

Does Front have a public API?
Yes, and it is a good one. Front's Core API covers messages, contacts, channels, inboxes, teammates and analytics. Rules are the gap: the API lists them as human-readable summaries only, and rule set data tables are edited in the UI by adding rows or importing a CSV that replaces the whole table. Integuru's 2 verified actions cover exactly that gap, authenticated with your own Front login.
| | Front Core API | Integuru for Front | |---|---|---| | Access | API token created in Front settings | Your own Front login | | Covers | Conversations, messages, contacts, channels, teammates, analytics; rules as read-only summaries | Structured rule details and appending rows to rule set data tables | | Best for | Everything the Core API already exposes | Keeping rule data tables in sync with a CRM or routing service |
What you can do with the Front API
get_rule_details takes rule_ids, the numeric IDs from the rule edit URL (the 6812939 in /settings/global/rules/edit/6812939), and returns the structured definition for each rule. add_rule_data_row appends to a rule's data table in two modes: single mode with rule_id and a row object containing only the fields that rule uses, or batch mode with an operations array that targets one rule per operation and runs sequentially, which is how one webhook call can update a dozen rules at once. Keep Front's Core API for everything else and reserve these two actions for the tables it cannot write.
Who uses this
Support and operations teams that route conversations by account tier, region or owner keep those lookups in rule set data tables and let their CRM push changes through add_rule_data_row instead of re-importing a CSV every week. Teams that already read mailing lists from Groups.io or founder networks from YC Bookface through Integuru add Front for the inbox side under the same auth model.
Setup notes
Integuru authenticates against app.frontapp.com with your Front user. Collect rule IDs from the rule edit URLs first, call get_rule_details to confirm each table's columns, then send rows that include only those columns. In batch mode, operations run in order, so place dependent updates later in the array.
Get started
Install the CLI and connect your Front login:
npm install -g integuru
Or sign in at app.integuru.com and add Front. To bring row updates, row deletion or rule toggling into the same workflow, the Managed Service scopes and builds those actions against your account.
Good to know
Before you start
- Can I use it today?
- Yes. Every action listed above has been verified against live Front traffic. Install the CLI or sign in at app.integuru.com, connect your Front account, and start calling the endpoints.
- What if Front changes or breaks?
- On Production plans the Integuru team is on call around the clock, with auth auto-healing included, so target-platform changes get fixed by Integuru rather than by your engineers.
- What does it cost?
- Start on the Free plan at $0/month with 100 API calls/month. Production starts at $499/month with 24/7 on-call maintenance and auth auto-healing.
