Insync API

Integuru generates a production-ready HTTP API for Insync, the Qualifacts behavioral health EHR and billing platform, aimed at the claims workbench that coders and billing companies work in every day. 10 verified actions cover finding claims by date of service or saved query, downloading claim detail and encounter PDFs, adding and correcting CPT lines and modifiers, appending notes and setting claim attributes.

Insync integration guide

Does Insync have a public API?

Insync's parent, Qualifacts, publishes documentation for the standards-based APIs on its certified EHRs, and whether that surface reaches the Insync claims workbench is not stated publicly. Integuru generates a production-ready HTTP API for exactly that workbench from your own Insync login, with 10 verified actions across claim search, claim detail, billing lines, modifiers, notes and attributes.

Certified EHR APIs are built around the patient record. A billing company's day runs through a different set of screens: the claims search, the charge detail, the modifier picker, the attribute dropdown that marks a claim reviewed. Integuru calls those screens' own endpoints directly, authenticated, using your own credentials, with login and any second factor handled, and every write on this page accepts dry_run so a coding pipeline can validate a correction before it commits.

What you can do with the Insync API

If you review coding for behavioral health practices, your Monday queue looks the same every week: pull last week's claims, read each encounter note, fix the codes that do not match the documentation, and mark the claim reviewed so the next person does not repeat the work. The actions follow that queue.

Find the claims

  • search_claims_by_dos returns claims between dos_from and dos_to (either MM/DD/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD), 25 per page by default and 50 at most, each with its CPT lines.
  • list_claim_ids drives from a saved Claims-search query by query_id (preferred) or exact query_name, optionally narrowed by a date-of-service range and sorted server-side (for example PatientName asc). list_saved_queries lists the saved searches, filtered by name_contains.

Read the claim and the note

  • download_claim_by_id takes an array of claim_ids and returns claim metadata with the billed CPT lines and facility (include_cpt, default true), the CMS place-of-service code when include_place_of_service is on, the rendering provider's email (include_provider_email, default true), telemedicine details when extract_telemed is set, and the encounter-note PDF as base64 when download_pdf is true.
  • get_claim_billing_lines returns the lines on a single claim_id.

Correct the coding

  • add_claim_billing_line adds a cpt to a claim_id with an idempotency_key (required), optional fee (omit to let the fee schedule set it), quantity (default 1), up to four modifiers and diagnosis_codes that default to the claim's existing diagnoses.
  • update_claim_billing_line changes a line_id's cpt, fee, quantity or modifiers (the new set replaces the old; an empty list clears them). Set recompute_fee to true after a code change so billed and allowed amounts follow the payer fee schedule.
  • list_modifiers returns modifier codes, filtered by a search prefix.

Leave a trail

  • add_claim_note appends note text to the claim.
  • set_claim_attribute sets the Claim Attribute by value or attribute_id on up to 25 claim_ids per request; download_claim_by_id can also set it to Charta Reviewed during the read with update_attribute.

Who uses this

AI coding-review products read the encounter PDF from download_claim_by_id, compare it with the CPT lines, and push corrections through update_claim_billing_line with dry_run first and recompute_fee on the commit. Billing companies serving Insync practices run search_claims_by_dos nightly and use set_claim_attribute to keep their review status inside the client's system rather than a spreadsheet. Denial-management teams pair claim detail here with remittance data from the Availity integration, and behavioral health groups that run more than one EMR add the Sunwave and Lightning Step pages to the same pipeline. The healthcare industry page covers claims and EHR work together.

Setup notes

Integuru authenticates against your practice's subdomain of insynchcs.com (the verified account uses the familycarecenter prefix) with an Insync billing user. Claim identifiers are the ChargeID values Insync shows in the claims search; set_claim_attribute accepts up to 25 per call. Dates accept both MM/DD/YYYY and YYYY-MM-DD. Send an idempotency_key on every write, not only where it is required, and run each correction with dry_run: true before the live call.

Get started

Install the CLI and connect your Insync login:

npm install -g integuru

Or sign in at app.integuru.com, add Insync, and run search_claims_by_dos for last week. Patient demographics, scheduling and clinical notes are outside the claims workbench and are built on request through the Managed Service.

Good to know

Before you start

Can I use it today?
Yes. Every action listed above has been verified against live Insync traffic. Install the CLI or sign in at app.integuru.com, connect your Insync account, and start calling the endpoints.
What if Insync changes or breaks?
On Production plans the Integuru team is on call around the clock, with auth auto-healing included, so target-platform changes get fixed by Integuru rather than by your engineers.
What does it cost?
Start on the Free plan at $0/month with 100 API calls/month. Production starts at $499/month with 24/7 on-call maintenance and auth auto-healing.
