Does SmartTab have a public API?

SmartTab publishes no developer API. Inventory tools that connect to it describe access as something SmartTab support switches on, and at least one falls back to a scheduled report email. Integuru generates a production-ready HTTP API for SmartTab from your own login at barnapkin.smarttab.com, with 15 verified actions across sales, checks, voids and comps, cash handling, timesheets and the roster, every one of them cut by business day.

What you can do with the SmartTab API

A bar closes at 2am and the owner reads the night at 10am: sales by hour, sales by bartender, what was comped, what the drawers dropped, and who was on the clock. Every report action takes a required venue_id and date, an optional date_end, and business_day_start plus timezone so the night stays whole.

Read the night's sales

• sales_summary, hourly_sales and product_sales return the summary, the hourly curve and per-item sales, with show_sold and show_not_selling on products.
• staff_sales returns sales by staff member, shaped by mode and type; tab_report returns the tabs.
• get_check_details returns one check_id or every check in the range.

Audit voids and cash

• void_comp_discount returns voids, comps and discounts, grouped by group_by.
• cash_drop and cash_in_out return drawer drops and cash movements for the range.

Close labor

• timesheet and list_time_entries return the venue's timesheet and individual entries; time_entries returns one employee_id's entries, with include_deleted.
• list_employees (with without_service_employee), list_roles and list_venues return the roster, roles and venue ids.

Who uses this

Bar inventory platforms pull product_sales per venue each morning and set it against counts from the WISK page to compute pour cost without a report email. Payroll and tip tools read timesheet and staff_sales for the same business day to split tips by hours and sales. Nightlife groups running several venues on different POS systems bring this page together with Silverware POS and Square so every venue lands in one warehouse in one shape. Setup notes

Integuru authenticates against barnapkin.smarttab.com with your SmartTab user. Call list_venues first; venue_id is a required integer on every other action except time_entries, which keys on employee_id. Set business_day_start and timezone once per venue and pass them consistently, or hourly reports will straddle midnight. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD.
