Zellis Payments API

Integuru generates a production-ready HTTP API for Zellis Payments, the provider payments portal at provider.zelispayments.com where healthcare providers collect claim payments and remittances from hundreds of payers. 3 verified actions list payments by date range, download the Explanation of Payment or 835 file for a payment, and read the provider contact details, with further actions available on request.

Does Zellis Payments have a public API?

Not for providers pulling their own remittances. Zelis runs an API marketplace, but its catalogue is built for payers and health-plan members: claims document search, provider directory, enrollment and payments communication. Providers are pointed to the portal, clearinghouse delivery or FTPS. Integuru's 3 verified actions give your provider portal login direct HTTP access to payment history and remittance downloads.

| | Official provider routes | Integuru for Zellis Payments | |---|---|---| | Access | Portal download, clearinghouse enrollment or FTPS delivery | Your own provider portal login | | Covers | EOP and 835 files delivered on the payer's schedule | Payment search by date plus on-demand EOP, 835 or CSV download per payment | | Best for | Practices whose clearinghouse already posts every 835 | Billing and reconciliation tools that need a specific remittance now |

What you can do with the Zellis Payments API

Payment history. get_payments_by_provider pages through the provider's payments newest first. Set from_date and to_date (MM/DD/YYYY) to keep page numbers low, because pages index the entire history and deep pages return more slowly. page_size defaults to 15 and caps at 50. Each row carries the PaymentID the next action needs.

Remittance download. download_payment_eop fetches the document for one payment, identified by payment_id or by payer_check_number (one or the other, never both). file_type defaults to PDF for the Explanation of Payment; pass 835 (or its alias EDI) for the 5010 remittance file, or CSV, XML or XLS for tabular exports, noting that XML and XLS are unavailable on some tenants.

Account. get_provider_user_contact_details returns the contact record on the portal user, which is how a tool serving several practices confirms which provider a stored connection belongs to.

Who uses this

Revenue-cycle and billing platforms that post remittances into a practice management system call get_payments_by_provider on a schedule and download the 835 for any payment their clearinghouse feed missed. Fintech teams reconciling healthcare receivables match payment rows to bank deposits, then pull the EOP PDF when a variance needs line-level detail. Teams already reading eligibility and claim status from Availity through Integuru add this page for the payment side; the healthcare and fintech industry pages cover both halves of that workflow.

Setup notes

Integuru authenticates against provider.zelispayments.com with your provider portal user. payer_check_number is a search filter only: the portal never returns it, so take it from the paper remittance or the bank record rather than expecting it in get_payments_by_provider output. Confirm which file_type values your tenant supports with a single test download before you schedule a backfill.
