Does Lessonface have a public API?

No. Lessonface publishes no public developer API or documentation for its live online lesson marketplace. Integuru's Lessonface integration provides 9 verified actions over direct HTTP requests, authenticated with your own Lessonface student account: catalogue search, teacher directories by instrument or subject, a teacher's profile and availability, your lessons, and your message threads with the ability to reply.

What you can do with the Lessonface API

Find a teacher. catalog_search takes a required free-text query (an instrument, a topic or a teacher's name) and pages at 10 by default, up to 50, reporting total_pages and has_more. list_teachers_in_category walks a directory instead: category_slug is the slug from the directory URL such as guitar, violin, piano or watercolor, and vertical picks the tree, music for /music-lessons/ and arts for /arts-lessons/; a category that does not exist returns 404. Both return the teacher slug that get_teacher_profile and get_teacher_availability take, the same value that follows /instructors/ in a profile URL.

Your lessons and messages. list_my_lessons returns the signed-in student's lessons and user_profile_status the account's status. list_message_threads returns the inbox, get_message_thread takes a thread_id from it, and reply_to_message_thread posts a plain-text body into an existing thread; Integuru escapes and paragraphs the text because the platform stores messages as HTML.

Booking a lesson is built on request through the Managed Service.

Who uses this

Assistants built on the AI agents pattern take a request like a beginner cello teacher with a slot on Thursday evening, call list_teachers_in_category with cello, then get_teacher_availability on the shortlist, and answer in one turn. Tutoring and enrichment apps that already connect Wyzant add Lessonface here so instrument and language lessons arrive through the same login-based auth model. Studios and teachers who manage students through Lessonface use list_message_threads and reply_to_message_thread to keep the inbox in their own tooling.

Setup notes

Integuru authenticates against www.lessonface.com with the student's own credentials and returns that account's lessons and messages, plus the catalogue and directory any signed-in user can browse. thread_id accepts an integer or a numeric string and must be positive. Slugs are letters, digits and hyphens; anything else returns 400 before the call is made.
