UrbanSitter API
Integuru generates a production-ready HTTP API for UrbanSitter, the babysitter and nanny booking marketplace, for family apps and assistants that arrange care. 8 verified actions run on your own parent login: search sitters available for a date and time window, list your job posts and applicants, hire or decline an applicant, list bookings, and read and send messages.

The actions above cover the most common UrbanSitter integration patterns, but they're not the full picture. Integuru can build additional workflows for any capability the platform exposes. Our Managed Service handles scoping, building, and maintaining custom actions on your behalf, so just let us know what you need.
Guide
UrbanSitter integration guide
Does UrbanSitter have a public API?
No. UrbanSitter publishes no public developer API or documentation for its booking marketplace. Integuru's UrbanSitter integration provides 8 verified actions over direct HTTP requests, authenticated with your own UrbanSitter parent account, and they cover the whole hiring loop: search sitters available for a window, read your job posts and their applicants, hire or decline, list bookings, and read and send messages.
What you can do with the UrbanSitter API
Find who is free. search_available_sitters takes a date in YYYY-MM-DD and a start_time and end_time in 24-hour HH:MM; an end at or before the start rolls to the next day. zip defaults to the parent's saved address, distance to 25 miles, and number_of_children (1 to 4) to the saved profile and decides which per-child hourly rate comes back. Pages hold 50 sitters by default.
Run a job post. list_posted_jobs returns open posts, closed posts or both merged when status is omitted, because the platform has no single all-status filter. list_job_applicants takes a job_id from that list. respond_to_job_applicant takes the job_id, the applicant's sitter_id and a decision: decline passes on the applicant, and hire creates a booking prefilled from the post's saved schedule, rate and address.
Bookings and messages. list_bookings filters with upcoming, past or all (the default), 50 per page. list_message_threads pages the inbox and get_thread_messages pages one thread_id oldest first, 50 messages per page. send_message takes up to 3000 characters and either a sitter_id to open a new conversation or a thread_id to reply into an existing one; dry_run returns the constructed request without sending.
Who uses this
Family assistants built on the AI agents pattern run the loop end to end: search_available_sitters for Friday night, send_message with dry_run to show the parent what will be sent, then the real send, and respond_to_job_applicant once the parent approves. Because hire is a real booking, teams keep that step behind an explicit confirmation. Apps covering more than one care marketplace pair this page with Sittercity so both pools arrive through one auth model and one on-call maintenance contract.
Setup notes
Integuru authenticates against www.urbansitter.com with the parent's own credentials and returns that account's posts, applicants, bookings and messages, plus the available-sitter search any signed-in parent can run. Times are 24-hour. send_message and respond_to_job_applicant write to the account, so test with dry_run first and treat hire as the commitment it is.
Get started
Install the CLI and connect your UrbanSitter login:
npm install -g integuru
Or sign in at app.integuru.com and add UrbanSitter. To add job posting or other actions, the Managed Service scopes and builds them against your account. The integrations catalogue lists every live platform.
Good to know
Before you start
- Can I use it today?
- Yes. Every action listed above has been verified against live UrbanSitter traffic. Install the CLI or sign in at app.integuru.com, connect your UrbanSitter account, and start calling the endpoints.
- What if UrbanSitter changes or breaks?
- On Production plans the Integuru team is on call around the clock, with auth auto-healing included, so target-platform changes get fixed by Integuru rather than by your engineers.
- What does it cost?
- Start on the Free plan at $0/month with 100 API calls/month. Production starts at $499/month with 24/7 on-call maintenance and auth auto-healing.
