Performance Food integration guide

Does Performance Food have a public API?

Performance Foodservice offers no self-serve developer API to its restaurant customers. Supplier connections run over EDI, and the Customer First portal is built for people placing orders, not for code. Integuru generates a production-ready HTTP API for Performance Food from your own portal login, with 13 verified actions across catalogue search, pricing, orders, approvals, deliveries and receivables.

What you can do with the Performance Food API

Build the week's order from a search, price it by the case or by the each, check what is still awaiting approval, and confirm what is on the truck. The actions follow that sequence.

Find and price products

  • product_catalog_search takes a required query_text with zero-based page and a page_size from 1 to 100, and returns the ProductKey values everything else keys on.
  • product_search is the quick lookup for a single search_value of three or more characters.
  • get_product_price prices an array of product_keys for a delivery_date, applying unit_of_measure (0 Case, 1 Each, 2 Box) across the list or per-item units through items.

Manage orders and approvals

  • get_active_order returns the order being built for a customer_id, get_future_orders returns scheduled orders, and get_order_approvals returns orders waiting for a manager to sign off.
  • get_submitted_orders and get_customer_orders return what has been placed; get_submitted_orders defaults its range to the last 90 days through tomorrow.

Confirm delivery and settle up

  • get_deliveries returns deliveries for a start_date to end_date window, defaulting to 30 days either side of today.
  • get_ar_balance returns the outstanding balance on the account.
  • list_recipes, get_user_site and get_current_user_site return recipes and the account structure, including the UserCustomers[].CustomerId GUIDs used to scope other calls.

Who uses this

AI procurement agents run product_catalog_search and get_product_price here alongside the US Foods and Vistar actions to compare a case price across distributors before a human approves the order. Restaurant back-office tools poll get_deliveries and get_submitted_orders to pre-populate a receiving screen so the receiver checks cases rather than typing them. Group operators with several Customer First accounts loop get_user_site and get_ar_balance to see receivables across every location in one view. The restaurants industry page puts purchasing next to invoice reconciliation and food cost.

Setup notes

Integuru authenticates against customerfirstsolutions.com with your Customer First user. For multi-account logins, call get_user_site once and store each CustomerId; pass it as customer_id wherever an action accepts one, otherwise the primary account is used.

Catalogue searches are zero-based for page, and product_search rejects search_value under three characters. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD, and get_product_price prices against the active order's delivery date unless you supply delivery_date.

Get started

Install the CLI and connect your Performance Food login:

npm install -g integuru

Or sign in at app.integuru.com, add Performance Food, and call the same 13 actions from the dashboard. For a write action such as adding lines to the active order, the Managed Service scopes and builds it against your account.

Good to know

Before you start

Can I use it today?
Yes. Every action listed above has been verified against live Performance Food traffic. Install the CLI or sign in at app.integuru.com, connect your Performance Food account, and start calling the endpoints.
What if Performance Food changes or breaks?
On Production plans the Integuru team is on call around the clock, with auth auto-healing included, so target-platform changes get fixed by Integuru rather than by your engineers.
What does it cost?
Start on the Free plan at $0/month with 100 API calls/month. Production starts at $499/month with 24/7 on-call maintenance and auth auto-healing.
